This flower box was inspired by historical events in France. The color yellow in France, traditionally and historically signifies jealousy, betrayal, weakness, and contradiction. In the 10th century, the French painted the doors of traitors and criminals yellow. In Germany, yellow symbolizes jealousy, and also coincidentally a color that Marie-Antoinette wore within her wardrobe. This flower box is designed with the intention of being gifted to somebody who you wish well from their jealousy.
